Motion in a Pinch
Social Media Advertisment
I was asked to make a series of moving and still posters for the release party for Boston Art Reviews fifteenth issue on a very short timeline. The prompt was minimal, they wanted moving images for their website, instagram posts and reels with options to insert images for DJ's later on.
"Generally leaning toward something more minimal, sleek, even spacy / iridescent."
Knowing the timeline and the client I gave them a few directions to choose from.

Direction 1
Social Media Advertisment
After confirming their interest in Direction 1 I could safely begin exploring options for animation and the text formating. I decided to go with the typefaces they already used on their website. Both were conveniently available on adobe fonts.
I started by creating a square template as it would require the tightest composition between elements. This way I wouldn't have to worry about squeezing a design that looks good spread out over the space of a instagram reel into a small square later on.
Once the template was complete I began working a morphing colorful animation that could still look interesting as a still image.

Feedback

After presenting them with the template and image I was able to receive valuable feedback without wasting any time. I was able to make the adjustments they needed and send over the final files the next day.
